Mackerel is a fish that lives in salt water with scales. It is high in protein and rich in nutrients such as iron, calcium, phosphorus, vitamins B1, B2, especially omega-3 fatty acids, which are beneficial for maintaining heart health. It also reduces the risk of heart disease complications such as stroke, heart attack and irregular heartbeat. They live together in large flocks in open waters such as the Indo-Pacific, the Gulf of Thailand, the Andaman Sea, the South China Sea, and the Sea of Japan. And live near the shore where the water depth is not more than 30 meters. They are popular for cooking, such as steaming, frying, Tom Yum, or making mackerel chili paste, which uses pounded mackerel meat mixed with shrimp paste, etc.

General Characteristics: It has a long, slender body, big eyes, wide mouth, and a pointed beak, fine scales. Have a sebaceous iris. The color of the abdomen is white and silver. The dorsal upper skin is greenish blue. Helps to disguise yourself from enemies.
