Common Climbing Perch (Koi) is a type of freshwater fish that can be found in all water sources and can found in every region in Thailand. It is the fish that Thai people know very well. Can cook a variety of foods. General characteristics are body is quite flat, and has black or dark brown, the belly is white or light yellow. The body has hard scales. The bulge of the cheek looks like a jagged, sharp thorn used for climbing. The base of the tail has a black round spot.
