Whiteleg shrimp which farmers in Thailand are popularly called Vannamei shrimp are shrimp that are easy to raise and is growing rapidly. The peculiarity of white shrimp that can be clearly observed is that the upper spur (thorn) is serrated and frequent, the tip of the spur is straight, with 2 lower and 8 upper spurs. The length of the spur is longer than the eyeball, not a lot. And can see the intestines of this type of shrimp more clearly than other white shrimp.

Shrimp can be cooked in many ways, whether it is boiled, baked, steamed, stir-fried, grilled or eaten plain (both cooked or fresh). Shrimp are high in protein. The main component is water. Although there is some fat content but the main benefit of shrimp lies in vitamins and minerals that can be said to be overflowing, including iron, calcium, sodium, phosphorus, zinc, magnesium and potassium as well as vitamins A, E, B6, and even B12, plus iodine, thiamin, riboflavin, and niacin.
